The Vanderbilt Catering website served as an online brochure for on-campus, more-upscale events.
Offering foods with a higher price point, Vanderbilt Catering opted not to go the e-commerce route and allow customers to purchase online because the majority of their business benefited from human-to-human interaction. Instead, customers called to discuss their options, using the website as a starting point to understand what types of foods were available, how their budget should be structured as well as different campus policies regarding setup, breakdown and food removal.
